Student assessment is conducted in accordance with the guidelines issued by CBSE and NEP 2020. The school follows a comprehensive and continuous assessment process that evaluates scholastic achievement, life skills, participation in co-curricular activities, and overall development. Students’ progress is regularly communicated to parents through report cards, Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), classroom observations, assignments, projects, practical work, and periodic assessments.

Components of a Formative Assessment:
Formative assessments may include:

Written assessments comprising class tests, worksheets, assignments, and subject-based evaluations.
The final formative assessment is based on the student’s overall performance in these activities.
Guidelines for Summative paper:
Summative assessments are conducted at the end of each term to evaluate students’ conceptual understanding, application of knowledge, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills. Question papers are designed in accordance with the latest CBSE guidelines and competency-based assessment pattern.

Implementation of affiliation norms:
Foundational Stage (Playgroup, Prep I & II, Classes I & II)
Students learn through an experiential and activity-based approach, where learning takes place by doing, exploring, observing, and participating. A variety of instructional strategies such as quizzes, puzzles, spellathons, storytelling, games, and subject enrichment activities make learning joyful and meaningful while enabling continuous assessment of students’ progress.
Primary Wing (Classes III to V)
The academic programme in the Primary Wing is guided by the philosophy of ‘Learning without Burden.’ Learning is enriched through creative classroom activities, indoor and outdoor games, bagless days, experiential learning, teamwork, performing arts, and computer-based activities. Students are assessed through continuous classroom observation, projects, activities, and periodic written assessments. Evaluations are age-appropriate and designed to support conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.
Middle Wing (Classes VI to VIII)
Learning in the Middle Wing is reinforced through experiential learning, projects, interdisciplinary activities, and collaborative learning experiences. Equal emphasis is placed on scholastic excellence, co-curricular participation, and value-based education. Teachers continuously observe, assess, and document each child’s progress through a variety of assessment tools. Feedback is used to identify learning gaps and provide timely academic support. Language learning focuses on developing communication, expression, creativity, and participation.
Senior Wing (Classes IX to XII)
The Senior Wing prepares students for higher education and future careers through a balanced blend of academic excellence, practical learning, and life skills. Project work, laboratory experiments, scientific inquiry, mathematical reasoning, critical thinking, creativity, research-based learning, technology integration, and active learning strategies form an integral part of the curriculum. Blended learning further enhances students’ academic and personal growth. Students are offered the flexibility to pursue Science, Commerce, or Humanities streams according to their aptitude, interests, and career aspirations.
Promotion Criteria:
Foundational Stage to Class V
Students are promoted to the next class based on their overall academic performance, participation, skill development, and continuous assessment conducted throughout the academic year.
Classes VI to IX
Students are awarded grades in all subjects based on their academic performance and continuous evaluation. Promotion is granted in accordance with the promotion policy and CBSE guidelines.
Classes X, XI & XII
Promotion and certification are governed by the latest rules, regulations, and examination bye-laws prescribed by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
